Cette rune de serment transforme l’apparence du personnage et ses esquives. Avec les Griffes de monstre équipées, elle donne accès à un ensemble d’attaques spécifique. Les Griffes se trouvent dans la salle au trésor de la couche 2 de l’infortunée Loran, avant la première lampe de cette couche. Le bonus de bestialité de la rune s’ajoute aux autres équipements ; les nouvelles attaques permettent de mieux exploiter la jauge.

Vaincre Laurence dans la Grande cathédrale du Cauchemar. Pour déclencher ce combat, récupérer son crâne sur le plateau caché de l’autel-ascenseur, puis le rapporter à la cathédrale. La rune est obtenue automatiquement après la victoire.

New feature has been added in the Old Hunters expansion. Oath Rune obtained in the Hunter's Nightmare your character will transform into a beast, replete with a shaggy mane and fur physics. To make this new transformation complete you can equip the Beast Claw weapon to gain access to a completely unique and far more beastly moveset. To access this weapon, head for the Ailing Loran Chalice Dungeon and search the treasure room on Layer 2 just before that floor's first Lamp. The Beasthood system has been made considerably more useful through a series of improvements to the Beast Claw, Beast Blood Pellets and the accumulation rate of the Beasthood meter. All of these upgrades combined mean that you can reliably deal more damage for longer periods, making a pure beast-mode play-style not only viable, but a very strong tactic in many situations. While the increase to your Beasthood provided by this rune is only relatively small, it does have other rather more unique properties. Equipping the rune will cause your character model to undergo a slight transformation and take on a more beastly appearance, including a large fur mane. Additionally, if you have this rune equipped at the same time as the Beast Claw weapon, the moveset of the weapon will change, and you'll gain access to entirely new attacks. Character's dodge animation also change to fit new ghastly form.

Dropped by (Old Hunters DLC) : Laurence, the First Vicar in Nightmare Grand Cathedral. To acquire this rune you will first need to get Laurence's Skull from the hidden altar in the Recovery Room, and then take it to the Nightmare Grand Cathedral in the Hunter's Nightmare so that you can face Laurence, the First Vicar. Upon defeating him you will automatically get the rune.
