New Game + — Bloodborne
New Game + — Game mechanics, Bloodborne. What changes at the end of a playthrough, what you keep, and why Chalice Dungeons have separate progression.

Two separate progressions
| Monde principal et DLC | Chalices |
|---|---|
| Enemies become stronger when entering NG+ | Difficulty independent of the NG cycle |
| Difficulty increases up to NG+6, the seventh playthrough | Materials and chalices are retained |
| HP, attacks, defences and echoes may change | No NG multiplier applies to layer bosses |
Use the right values
The jump from NG to NG+ depends on the enemy and its area: there is no single multiplier for every boss. Select the exact cycle on the boss page when preparing for a fight.
Multipliers for later playthroughs use NG+ as their baseline, rather than the initial NG. Resistances and attribute bonuses do not change in the same way as HP and defences.
Before finishing the game
- The ending automatically starts the next playthrough. Finish your purchases, exploration and objectives in the current world before triggering it.
- You retain your stats, weapons and most items. Progression-related key items generally have to be obtained again.
- To enter the expansion again, restore access after Amelia and the memory at the altar; retaining an upgraded weapon does not keep the route open.
