Laurence, the First Vicar — Bloodborne
Laurence, the First Vicar — Bosses, Bloodborne. Hunter's Nightmare Grand Cathedral
Location and loot
| Location | Condition |
|---|---|
| Valtr Confederate : Laurence, the First Vicar in Hunter's Nightmare : In plain sight just inside the door of the Grand Cathedral. | You must not have killed Valtr in the Forbidden Woods . You must be equipped with the " Impurity " rune. Must have obtained Laurence's Skull from the altar elevator. |
With patch v1.07 you are able to summon NPCs to come to your aid, just like cooperative play, including inside Chalice Dungeons. To do so, first you will need to acquire the “ Old Hunter Bell ” from the messengers in the Hunter’s Dream. In some areas you may be able to summon up to two NPC Hunters.
Note : When you summon Valtr , he will appear wearing his helmet and will be identified as "Valtr, Master of the League" until you have completed his quest and obtained the Master's One-Eyed Iron Helm . From this point onward he will be summoned as "Valtr, Beast Eater" and will appear without his helmet. He is stronger as "Beast Eater" so it's worth completing his quest before summoning him for these fights.

Shoot the head
Hitting the head with a firearm can stagger it for a visceral attack. After it repairs itself, this opening becomes available again.
Distinguish limb breaks
Breaking a limb creates an interruption but does not increase damage taken by Laurence. Keep using serrated weapons or anti-beast bonuses.
- Solo HP and echoes without runes. The displayed defenses are for NG; their NG+ scaling is not quantified here.
- A defense is a calculation value, not a damage reduction percentage. A Poison resistance of 999 does not imply immunity.
