Two separate effects

Before replacing a physical gem

The type depends on the move, rather than just the weapon. A thrust gem does not automatically strengthen every hit from a spear. Elemental damage and other types remain outside the bonus.

The +32.6% variant focuses entirely on that type. The +28.7% variant keeps a secondary effect: compare your main attacks, including those that do not use the specialised type.

Gem effects and acquisition

Two separate effects: one strengthens thrust, the other blunt. The move's type determines which is active.

Use a hit of the selected type. Other physical hits from the same weapon do not receive this bonus.

Compatible percentages multiply across gems. Flat additions remain separate from the product of percentage bonuses.
