When the bonus applies
The bonus applies to charged attacks and their physical component. It does not strengthen ordinary hits or the elemental damage of a mixed or converted weapon.

Gem effects and acquisition
Strengthens the physical component of charged attacks.
Perform a charged attack. Ordinary attacks and elemental damage do not benefit from this bonus.
Compatible percentages multiply across gems. Flat additions remain separate from the product of percentage bonuses.
