Prepare for the Escort's arrival

The Escort arrives when the Madman drops below 75% health. Landing a strong punish just before this threshold reduces the length of the two-enemy fight.

Finish the Madman first

After the Escort arrives, separate them with the pillars and finish the Madman first. Parries create protected visceral attack openings.

  • Individual HP for the Madman and his Escort. The echoes are the group reward, not two gains to add together.
  • Chalices do not follow the NG cycle. Root base values must be multiplied according to depth, layer and rites; they do not describe a specific fight.
  • A defense is a calculation value, not a damage reduction percentage. A Poison resistance of 999 does not imply immunity.
