Adeline, Research Hall Patient — Bloodborne

Quest overview

Make all three donations to receive the Balcony Key and the Milkweed rune.

• Own the expansion and reach the Research Hall.
• Enter the first-floor laboratory using the shortcut lift.

• The last Brain Fluid comes from Adeline after her transformation: do not perform this step while she is still in her original form.
• Leave and return at least three times after each of the first two donations.

After opening the lift shortcut

• Enter the laboratory and speak to Adeline until she asks for Brain Fluid.

Request for Brain Fluid.

Take the first Brain Fluid from a patient

Research Hall · upper rafters OR landing between floors 3 and 4

After her request

• Look for a patient's head: one is on the upper rafters, the other on the landing near the hunter doctor wielding a Threaded Cane.
• Strike either head to receive Brain Fluid. Their order does not matter.
• Return and give it to Adeline.

First donation complete; Blood of Adeline becomes available.

Carrying another special blood vial prevents you from receiving her blood; this does not change the order of the Brain Fluid donations.

Return three times, then give her the second Brain Fluid

Research Hall · same laboratory

After the first donation

• Leave the Research Hall and return at least three times.
• Take the Brain Fluid from the other head-only patient if you have not already done so.
• Give it to Adeline when she asks for more.

Find her head-only form

Research Hall · behind the open laboratory door

After the second donation

• Leave the Research Hall again and return at least three times.
• Look for Adeline immediately to the left as you enter, behind the open door.
• Exhaust her dialogue in her new form.

Adeline is now only a head.

Do not confuse the chair where you first met her with the location of this final form.

Strike her once, then return the last Brain Fluid

Research Hall · Adeline's final form

After her transformation and dialogue

• Strike this form once to obtain her Brain Fluid.
• Wait for her immediate regeneration, then give her the fluid.

Milkweed rune, 1 Madman's Knowledge and 2 Insight.

The final donation ends her renewable supply of blood.
